Darryl Vidal has been consulting with schools implementing technology for over 25 years. His projects include district-wide implementations of VoIP, WIFI, CyberSecurity, Data Center HyperConvergence, and Cloud Computing. His primary instructional focus for over 20 years has been the ever-evolving technology classroom. Mr. Vidal has developed the formal strategic planning and project management methodology known as MapIT. He is currently Principal Consultant for Tier 4 Tech - Education Services. He
holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Information Management and a Master’s Degree (MA Ed) in Education (Instructional Technology)
Darryl Vidal is the author of several Education Technology books as well as non-fiction and fiction novels.
Darryl Vidal has been a student and teacher of the art of Kenpo Karate for over 45 years. He has been teaching Karate in Murrieta for the city’s Parks and Recreation Department for the past 30+ years. He also founded and heads the Murrieta Stick Fighting Club (Filipino Martial Arts).
Vidal has earned the highest honor given in martial arts, as he was promoted to Grandmaster - Ju Dan, 10th Degree Black Belt in 2012.
Darryl Vidal is widely known as "Vidal" in the original Karate Kid movie (part 1). He appeared as himself, a semi-finalist who fought Johnny Lawrence. Darryl also was the stunt double for Pat Morita, performing the "crane technique.'
