“To do nothing, is to continue failing.” This is the author’s definition of status quo. For a school to not face up to the challenge with COVID and distance learning, the school / district continues to fail. Remember that each day classes are taught without district guidance for efficacy in distance learning, is a day the school fails its students.

SAMR Disruption
The SAMR Disruption model overlays the concept of disruption to the SAMR model. Instead of a school district focusing on moving up the model in succession, the curriculum development and PD should focus on leap-frogging the augmentation and modification stages and move directly to redefinition.
